For our 16th Annual Scientific Conference we will return to Gurney's Inn and Conference Center on the Alantic Ocean in Montauk, "The End" of Long Island's famous South Fork.

Educational Objectives:

  1. Discuss the possible causes of the skin barrier defect observed in subjects with AD
  2. Understand why such a barrier defect might lead to atopic dermatitis.
  3. Discuss the role and importance of rhinovirus infection to the inception of asthma
  4. Discuss the role and contribution of rhinovirus infections to asthma exacerbation and host risk factors
  5. Recognize the differences in clinical presentation among several chronic urticarial diseases
  6. Understand the theories on the pathogenesis of "Chronic Autoimmune Urticaria"
  7. Understand the risks and benefits of the more aggressive treatment approaches used in chronic urticaria
  8. To discuss the potential new threat of nanoparticles on human health
  9. To understand how air pollution may be a "player" in asthma and upper airway diseases
  10. Discuss the role of stress and the development and regulation of allergic inflammation
  11. Discuss the involvement and activation of the brain in the development of allergic inflammation
